Total Construction Training's Plant Training is consistently rated outstanding by its participants and has an excellent pass rate in both the theoretical and practical assessments required by the CPCS and NPORS. The Construction Plant Competent Scheme (CPCS) is recognised by the UK Contractors Group and Major Home Builders Group as the preferred card to comply with codes of practice for competence and certification. It was launched in 2003 to help comply with regulations and requirements, and aims to apply common standards for all plant operators. CPCS covers a large range of plant and plant-related categories, and Total Construction Training can offer you one of the widest ranges of training towards these of any construction training providers. The CPCS aims to: Provide identification for plant operators and those involved with plant operations by recognising skills, knowledge and understanding, competence and qualifications, Raise health, safety and environment standards through a programme of Health, safety and environment testing to prove workers have met minimum standards, Provide standards of learning and assessment to equip individuals with relevant skills and knowledge to seek employment within industry, Provide certification for UK workers that could be accepted in Europe through agreements with other European national schemes to mutually recognise qualifications, and Provide or improve employment prospects for individuals and experienced operators. Established in 1992, the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme is now one of the UK's leading Accreditation and Registration Bodies, working across the Construction, Industrial, Utilities, Warehousing and Distribution, Agricultural, Ports and Marine sectors. NPORS offers flexibility, whilst maintaining standards, both nationally and internationally by working with industry and Accredited Training Providers.
